FINDING YOUR PURPOSE #1: Essential Elements.It doesn’t matter who you are now, how much money you’re making, what you’ve achieved in life, or how great you think you are. Unless you’ve discovered the true purpose of your life, you are living a life of mediocrity and not reaching your potential.When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all of your thoughts break their bonds: your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands is every direction and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person than you ever dreamed yourself to be.There is one thing that you must acknowledge before anything else: only those who seek will find. The purpose of your life doesn’t just come to you.You need to take time to think, to reflect, to connect with yourself. The first tip is about that.There are three essential elements to discovering the purpose of your life.break your daily routine, step away from what you’re used to;allow yourself enough time to connect with yourself;give yourself time to ponder and connect the dots of your life and; once the process is complete, you will be embalmed in clarity of purpose such as you’ve never experienced.Now let’s look at all of these points separately.1. Break your daily routineThis is important for a number of reasons. No matter how simple you think your life is, there’s far too many distractions to really connect with yourself, unless you change your environment. People are creatures of habit and unless you move away from what you’re used to, your mind will not think outside of your usual box.You need to get away from it all, and that’s not meant flippantly. No TV, no phone, no newspapers, no books, no magazines, no mindless conversation. Nothing. Just you. Your mind needs the time and space to complete the jigsaw puzzle.It is very difficult to find your life purpose until you massively interrupt your daily routine. And the more radical the change, the quicker you will get the answers. You need to literally run away from all the distractions that life throws at you. Until you do, it will be very hard to really start understanding yourself.Some practical advice• Go away from large cities. Go somewhere where you can enjoy peace and silence;• If you can, go abroad for some time: being away from what you know and not seeing things you're used to seeing is of great help to have those much needed inner dialogues with yourself;• Spend time outdoors as much as you can. Become one with the nature;• You should ideally not to be contactable, and you should not contact anyone except immediate family. The process is more effective if contact can be cut completely. Especially avoid work-related contacts;• The experience will be significantly enhanced if you can do without what you currently consider to be necessities: internet, mobile phone, colognes and cosmetics, high-heeled shoes and fancy clothes, personal electronics;• No TV, movies, books, magazines or newspapers. Each of these are simply noise and distract you from your goal;• Take a journal and a pen with you. Write down your thoughts, keep a written record of your journey.2. Allow yourself enough time to connect with yourselfOnce you’ve massively interrupted your daily routine, spend time reflecting on your life. Think of the times when you felt most empowered. Ask yourself what is the one cause you would want to fight for. Think what gives you the most fulfillment in life. Let the time pass by. Once you’re focused on a goal, your brain will work on the questions in your mind also subconsciously. This is called incubation. Incubation is using and trusting your subconscious mind to solve problems.To really use it, immerse yourself in the situation, exploring all angles and thinking in detail about the problem. Now do nothing or otherwise distract the conscious mind to leave the subconscious thinking. The subconscience will eventually reward your patience by popping an idea into your conscious mind some time later. When this happens is not very predictable. In order to catch these ideas it is a useful practice to always carry pen and paper with you.The subconscious mind is very powerful. Its major advantage over the conscious mind is that it can do many tasks at once. Your subconscious is always ready to give you the answers, once you ask; once you are receptive to it. Become quiet and listen. It is a wonderful process.This part of the process cannot be rushed, and cannot be skipped. The amount of time is different for each person, depending on how quickly you can un-clutter your mind. It’s typically between 10 and 21 days, but might be very different for you, depending on your life experiences to date.How do you know when you’ve found your purpose in life?You will know. You’ll feel excitement when thinking of your purpose, an enormous amount of energy. Amazing, indescribable, never-before-experienced things happen in your mind when you’re there, and you’ll know when you’ve arrived.3. Wait for your mind to connect the dots and saturate you in clarity of purposeHerein lies the beauty and simplicity of the entire process: you don’t need any special skills. It just happens. And when it does, powerful, magical, beautiful things simply come flowing forth.While it does take some patience and discipline to discover your purpose, the process of connecting the dots takes no effort at all. Your brain simply combines all of the input amassed over your lifetime and, free from other interruptions, is able to compute the variables and spits out a torrent of answers.Ideas that are going to blow your mind.
